Digital is the most comprehensive of the words, and can be used for almost any device or activity that makes use of or is based on computer technology, such as a digital camera or a digital network. Virtual tends to be used in reference to things that mimic their "real" equivalents. Thus a digital library would be simply a library that involves information technology, whether a brick-and-mortar library equipped with networked computers or a library that exists exclusively in electronic form, whereas a virtual library could only be the latter of these. The prefix e- is generally preferred when speaking of the commercial applications of the Web, as in e-commerce, e-cash, and e-business, whereas cyber- tends to be used when speaking of the computer or of networks from a broader cultural point of view, as in cybersex, cyberchurch, and cyberspace. But like everything else in this field, such usages are evolving rapidly, and it would be rash to try to predict how these expressions will be used in the future.

Começo com a questão da Marta, que também já me tinha surgido no post anterior: "Também podemos viver virtualmente a arte?", e reformulo, "não será a arte sempre vivida de uma forma virtual?"
(e estamos a incluir na mesma questão, e a procurar a relação entre dois conceitos, para os quais não é fácil encontrar uma definição... "arte" e "virtual" ... está a ficar cada vez mais complexo ;)
o objecto artístico pode reflectir a realidade, pode ser inspirado nela, ou simplesmente ser uma expressão abstracta de algo sugerido pela realidade do artista... não estará sempre presente uma dimensão virtual no processo de produção artística?? não haverá uma abstracção da realidade, e simultaneamente uma representação dessa mesma realidade, no processo criativo?
viver a arte, ou sentir a arte, não implicará também sempre uma dimensão virtual? cada pessoa sente a arte de uma forma diferente e muito pessoal; vive-a de acordo com as suas representações, com as suas interpretações... faz a sua abstracção pessoal de um objecto artístico que é real (mas que por sua vez pode ser a expressão de uma representação ou vivência virtual do artista)...
a esfera virtual do "viver a arte" estará presente na perspectiva do artista, mas também na perspectiva do "consumidor" de arte?
